Objective: High performance. Consistent performance. Peak performance. Technique on demand and tactically flexible. A role model of True Sport values.
LUYSA will:
- Fine tune ancillary capacities, techniques and tactics.
- Model all possible aspects of training and performance.
- Train participants to peak for major competitions.
- Allow for frequent preventative breaks to reduce risk of injury and burnout.
- Utilize an annual soccer program with one, two, three or multiple competitive seasons.
- 25% training to 75% competition (and competition-related training).
- Provide soccer-specific technical, tactical and ancillary capacities training 9 to 15 times per week, year round.
Outside of soccer the family should:
- Understand that elite soccer players peak through early to mid 20’s in females and mid to late 20’s in males.
- Prepare for eventual transition from competitive to recreational sport.
