Coaches, a reminder about how to re-arrange games, postpone games or schedule exhibition games.
  • Please check ID cards and team list to ensure no errors.  It is the coach’s responsibility to ensure all players U12-U18 are carded and registered with LUYSA.

  • You are responsible for the care of these cards. There is a $10 charge for replacement of any one card and a $25 charge for replacement of a set of cards. This includes the return of them at the end of the season.  They should be returned when you turn in your equipment!! These fees are set by our District not by LUYSA.

  • Coaches cannot cancel league games for U11-18.

  • Field closures come out on Friday afternoon.  You will be contacted Friday evening by Linda Smith via email if your field is closed and if an alternate field, time and referee has been arranged or if your game has been cancelled. You must check your email Friday night for changes.  There will be no phone call.  It is up to the coach to notify the opposition of any changes.

  • If your game is cancelled, coaches must contact the opposition and find a mutually agreed upon date and time for a make up game.  Then the coach contacts Clayton Ramm; phone # 604-882-9798 or cell 604-626-7199 to secure a field.  Once set up, this then must be confirmed with Clayton Ramm and emailed to Linda Smith for a referee to be assigned.  This must be done within a timely fashion.

  • If the game is scheduled and fields are not closed, only the referee can cancel a game based on his assessment of field conditions.  If the referee cancels your game, you can call Linda Smith 315-1232 to see if there is an alternate field available.  If not, a home makeup game needs to be rescheduled through the Director of U11 – 18.

  • Field assignment priority is as follows:  Victoria opponents, Provincial cup games – home and away, league cup home games, home league games, away league cup games, away league games, exhibition games.  In the event of a shortage of fields, games will be cancelled in reverse order.

  • Exhibition Games must also follow the above procedure as the club has a budget for referee and field expenses that must be monitored.

  • Remember – as of now there are special procedures for any new players to your team or transfers from another team.  The paperwork (i.e. transfer form and/or new registration) must come through me and I must have it by TUESDAY 9PM (my address is 2141 – 216 street ) prior to the weekend game. I will need the Player ID Card, for transfers, to update it’s information so don’t forget to bring it to me along with the signed paperwork. The transfer form is available from BC Soccer website along with the rules and regulations pertaining to transfers .Once approval is received, (usually Friday) I will notify you that the player is eligible to play.

  • -    Each transfer is at a cost of $10 (Cheque only - payable to BCSA)
    -    Each team is allowed only 3 player transfers per season.
    -    Each player is entitled to 2 transfers per season, but once transferred, cannot return to original team for a period of 30 days.

  • If any of your players require an insurance claim form for injuries sustained at practice or a game, please visit www.bcsoccer.net for printable forms and information. Please call our office if you have trouble with any of the forms.
