Plans are well underway for two LUYSA teams from Langley to attend the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden in July of 2009. http://www.gothiacup.se/
Jamie Booth, our Director of Player Development, and a team of coaches will be training the boys (12-14 year olds) during Spring League. The Gothia Cup is a recognized worldwide as the World cup for Youth, with well over 127 countries participating. This tournament should prove to be a life-changing experience for the boys who will be attending.
Many Fundraising events will be occurring over the next few months. The kick-off will be a Pancake Breakfast held at MAP on Sunday, October 5th. There will also be a calendar of events posted on the site. The teams would appreciate your support and are looking forward to representing our club at the tournament in July.
