Do you enjoy the sport of soccer?You could spend more time doing the sport you enjoy while at the same time giving back to the sport and you could get paid for it too by becoming an Official.Are you self confident, assertive and know the game of soccer? Do you like being around younger children? We are looking for youths like you to take the class 4 referee course. You will start off reffing the 8 X 8 games (U11 and 12) and will gradually move up the age levels as you gain more experience. You would be able to line (assistant referee) games and get paid for it! If you are interested contact: Linda Smith, Director of Officials - officials@luysa.com I will add your name to the email list of interested youths and will notify you of the upcoming courses. The club will reimburse your course fee and registration after you have reffed 4 games. We are also looking for adults that are experienced in soccer to take the ref course. Youth development of referees is our first priority however, we would like to have some adults that are willing to ref a younger game here and there just to help out and fill the gaps when needed. You would not be reffing every week. You would have to take the class 4 weekend course and every year participate in an annual refresher class. Consider becoming an official. We need you! |
