  • Canada opens championship with victory
    Canada has started the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship on a good note, picking up the maximum three points in the opening match against Jamaica. Canada won 4:1 over Jamaica and starts the tournament in second place behind Mexico. Mexico is in first place following a 6:0 victory over Panama earlier in the day.

  • Canada set to open championship against Jamaica
    Canada?s women?s U-17 team put the final touches to its on-field preparations on Wednesday in advance of the 2010 CONCACAF Women?s Under-17 Championship. Canada faces group rival Jamaica on Thursday 11 March at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The group match kicks off at 19.30 local and will be broadcast live on CONCACAF.com (20.30 ET / 17.30 PT).

  • Canada confirms roster for CONCACAF championship
    Canada?s women?s U-17 team has confirmed its roster for the 2010 CONCACAF Women?s Under-17 Championship. Coach Bryan Rosenfeld has selected 20 players for the 11-day confederation championship which kicks off this Wednesday 10 March in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Canada?s first match is Thursday 11 March against group opponent Jamaica.

    ?Our team is anxious to compete in the CONCACAF Women?s Under-17 Championship,? said national coach Bryan Rosenfeld. ?We just finished competing in three important international matches in preparation for this competition. With a few days of rest and recovery from that competition, we are ready for our first group game against Jamaica.?
